Request for access

The Ville de Richmond is a public organization, obligated to follow certain procedures and regulations concerning the Law to access information.

The right to access public organizations documents is foreseen by the Access to public documents and Protection of personal information (Loi sur l'accès aux documents des organismes publics et sur la protection des renseignements personnels). There are no charges to access documents however; there are fees to have copies made.

Requests for access to documents must be made to the General Manager. To make a request contact him at :

The request can be made verbally or in writing, but only the written request allows you to make any further requests through the Information access Commission (Commission d'accès à l'information) (CAI).
